Under the auspices of the Edirne Governorship, and following the reopening of the restored Selimiye Mosque, "Ramadan Street" events will be held in the shadow of the Selimiye Mosque between February 18 and March 16, 2026.

In this major event, which is expected to host approximately 1.5 million domestic and foreign visitors, 55 traditional wooden stands will be set up where tradesmen and artisans from Edirne can showcase their products.

During the Ramadan Street event, in the event area;

📖 Recitations of the Holy Quran,

🎶 Sufi and Turkish music concerts,

🎤 Interviews and cultural discussions,

🍬 Traditional Halva Gatherings,

🧒 Karagöz-Hacivat puppet show, storyteller, puppet show, shadow play and traditional entertainment especially for children.

🌙 Laylat al-Qadr programs,

🏛 Cultural performances

and the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan will be experienced in the shadow of Selimiye.
