In the letter dated 25.06.2025 and numbered 5718, sent to our Chamber from the General Secretariat of the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Association,

The “Promoting Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Change through Preventing Water Loss” (AWARE) Project, jointly financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey under the Climate Change Adaptation Grant Programme, is carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Association General Secretariat (IMMIB) and in partnership with the Water Policies Association.

Within the scope of the project, an online workshop will be organized to address current developments in the efficient use of water in industry and adaptation to climate change, to evaluate sectoral practices, and to contribute to the creation of outputs that will guide solution strategies at the national level.

At the event, distinguished academics from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) will discuss the practical implications of the Water Efficiency Regulation and the strategic use of water in industry. Additionally, information will be provided on the scope and methodology of the "Determination of Water Quantities Used per Unit" survey conducted as part of the project, and how stakeholders can contribute to this process will be discussed. Furthermore, examples of good practice from the field will be included to encourage the sharing of experiences from different sectors.
