Dear Member,
The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey announced that the practice of closing barbers, hairdressers and beauty salons one day a week throughout the country will come into effect as of July 1. It was stated that if it is determined that these businesses are not closed on the days determined by the governorships, administrative sanctions will be imposed by the Ministry.
With the Governor's Approval dated 24/07/2024 and numbered E-27653287-421.99-00099001209, which is attached to the letter of Edirne Provincial Directorate of Trade dated 24/07/2024 and E-27653287-421.99-00099100471, the businesses in question are required to obtain permission from the Chamber they are affiliated with to open their workplaces and provide service by stating the reasons for the days and hours they are closed.
In this context, our members operating as barbers, hairdressers and beauty salons must comply with the specified rules and apply for the said permits by contacting our Chamber in order to avoid any administrative sanctions.
It is announced with importance to our relevant members.
