In the letter dated 02.07.2025 and numbered 7423, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,
Our Chambers/Commodity Exchanges and Sector Assembly members have submitted suggestions to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey regarding the problems experienced in the supply of materials for existing buildings and the completion of deficiencies requiring processes regarding the measures that accommodation facilities should take within the scope of the Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire.
The problems encountered within the scope of compliance with the regulation in question have been discussed in detail by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, and the compliance problems of facilities constructed before 2007, historical buildings, facilities constructed with attached layout and horizontal architecture, especially the production and supply of heat-resistant doors, have been submitted to the relevant authorities in the form of a report.
Following initiatives undertaken by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, a deadline of December 31, 2025, has been granted to address deficiencies requiring a process for the procurement of materials for existing buildings. Furthermore, other matters are being closely monitored by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye.
