Letter from Georgian Authorities on NCTS

Dear Member,


In the letter dated 20.12.2024 and numbered 13917, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,


In a letter dated 11.12.2024 received from the Ministry of Trade, it was announced that the Georgian Ministry of Finance Revenue Administration will officially join the "Agreement on Simplification of Transactions in Goods Trade" and the "Agreement on the Common Transit Regime" while launching the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) Phase 5 and that these changes are planned to enter into force on 1 February 2025.


In this context, all stakeholders were requested to be informed about the following requirements:


1. Guarantee and Transit Declaration Requirement: Goods entering or transiting through Georgia, en route to the European Union or other listed countries under the Conventions, must be accompanied by a valid guarantee and transit declaration.


2. Assistance and Guidance: Information about companies providing warranty-related services and detailed procedures will be available on the website www.rs.ge starting December 15, 2024. The help desk, established to provide support and answer all questions about the transition period, will also be available starting January 1, 2025. Contact information is provided below:
