In the letter dated 22.09.2025 and numbered 11847, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,

It has been notified by India that the mandatory certification process for furniture and electrical appliances will begin in February 2026 and March 2026 respectively.

The article states that product standards in India are determined and implemented by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and that compliance with the said standards may be mandatory.
