Dear Member,
In the letter dated 08.09.2025 and numbered 11226, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,
It was stated that the Iraqi Customs General Commission had stated that the "Updating of Company Information in the Customs Data Automation System (ASYCUDA)" and the information of companies registered in ASYCUDA should be reviewed and updated by September 1, 2025, and that companies that do not update will be removed from the system.
In the letter registered in the link, a copy of which is presented in the attachment, it is stated that the application of the ASYCUDA importer code control process for international payments regarding export payments has been postponed to December 1, 2025, with reference to the Circular of the Central Bank of Iraq dated August 20, 2025.
The article continues by stating that our companies are advised to confirm in advance whether Iraqi importers meet the requirements for transferring export proceeds to our country through the Banking System on or after December 1, 2025. Otherwise, it is possible to encounter problems such as not being able to receive export proceeds through the banking system or experiencing delays in such transfer transactions.
Best regards.
