In the letter dated 30.07.2025 and numbered 8652, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,
Information is provided about the regulation that allows the Government of Canada to take restrictive measures in public procurement of countries that do not grant free access to the Canadian market through its Reciprocity-Based Public Procurement Policy.
The article stated that the regulation in question aims to increase the competitiveness of Canadian companies and encourage domestic production in the country, as detailed in the article. It also explained that the first phase of the regulation, detailed information about which can be found in the links provided in the article, will come into effect on July 14, 2025, and the second phase, which will be implemented permanently, will be implemented at a later date to be determined.
