In the letter dated 31.12.2024 and numbered 14319, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,

It has been reported that an important change has been made regarding the application period for authorization certificates within the scope of the Regulation on Real Estate Trade.

As previously announced, businesses and contracted businesses registered for income or corporate tax related to real estate trade, or registered with a professional chamber before May 14, 2024, were required to apply for an authorization certificate by December 31, 2024, to benefit from the professional experience requirement exemption. However, with the approval of the Ministry of Trade, this deadline has been extended for six months, until June 30, 2025.

Conditions that remain valid to benefit from the professional experience requirement exemption:

• The business must be registered with the tax or professional chamber as of May 14, 2024, and registered with the relevant NACE code (68.31.01 or 68.31.02),

• Tax or professional chamber registration must continue uninterrupted until the application date.

This extension is limited only to the authorization certificate application period. There has been no change to the requirement for tax or professional chamber registration before May 14, 2024. The Ministry of Commerce's letter on this matter is attached.
