In the letter dated 15.11.2024 and numbered 12497, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,
With reference to the letter dated 16.10.2024 and numbered 41183 received from the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Trade, it was announced that Phase 5, which is the current version of NCTS (New Computerized Transit System) used within the scope of the common transit regime in customs administrations in accordance with the Agreement on Common Transit Regime of 1987 (Common Transit Agreement), to which our country, the European Union (EU), the European Union Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine are parties, will be put into operation in our country on 17.11.2024. In addition, the same letter stated that during the transition phase, which is anticipated to last approximately 8-10 hours as of 00:00 on 17.11.2024 (the night connecting Saturday to Sunday), access to the NCTS program and some customs applications of the aforementioned Ministry related to the NCTS program will not be available.
This time, in the letter dated 13.101.2024 and numbered 45825 received from the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Trade, it is reminded that it is important to complete the necessary preparations by taking into account the date specified in the workflow processes in order to avoid any grievances experienced by the obliged parties.
In the continuation of the same article, it is stated that the Ministry has established the NCTS Phase 5 Helpline to ensure that problems that companies may encounter are quickly resolved, and that this line can be reached by calling 0 (312) 449 1 449 or by emailing " nctsfaz5destek@ticaret.gov.tr ." Furthermore, it is emphasized that the guide, which can be used by obliged parties as a guide within the scope of the NCTS Phase 5 program, is shared at the link " https://ggm.ticaret.gov.tr/duyurular/ncts-faz-5-uygulamasina-iliskin-gereklidokumanlara-bu-linkten-ulasilabilir ."
