Regarding the Current Regulation on Polish Road Transport.

In the letter dated 24.10.2024 and numbered 11685 sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,


In the letter dated 22.10.2024 and numbered 42244 received from the General Directorate of International Trade in Services of the Ministry of Trade, it is stated that a new regulation is being prepared by the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure in the field of road transport, referring to a letter received from the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy in Warsaw. In this context, it is stated that as of November 1, 2024, road transporters of third countries that are not resident in EU member states, Switzerland and EFTA member states must notify the SENT (System for Electronic Transport Supervision) System before crossing the Polish border and obtain a reference number for each transport. It is also emphasized that the said application will also apply to carriers of other EU member states, Switzerland and EFTA member states who perform road transport to or from a third country, depending on Poland and international agreements to which Poland is a party, as of January 1, 2025.
