In the letter dated 10.02.2025 and numbered 1537, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,
In its letter, which is on record, the Directorate General for International Agreements and the European Union of the Ministry of Trade states that, within the scope of the Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism, companies exporting to the European Union in the iron and steel, aluminum and cement sectors are required to report the carbon content of their products, and that it is crucial for Turkish companies to reduce carbon emissions in their production processes and comply with relevant climate policies.
