Regarding the 35-Hour Refresher Training for Holders of SRC3 Vocational Qualification Certificates – March 2, 2026

Dear Member,

In a letter dated 2.03.2026 sent to our Chamber from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey,

In accordance with the Road Transport Law No. 4925 and related legislation, professional competency certificates are mandatory for drivers engaged in road transport activities.

According to the UBAK Quality Requirement, adopted within the framework of the UBAK Multilateral Quota System, drivers holding a professional qualification certificate are required to undergo 35 hours of refresher training every 5 years.

Within this context, the "International Goods-Cargo Transportation (SRC3) Driver Professional Competency Course Program" was prepared by the Ministry of National Education and approved by the Board of Education and Training, thus entering into force.

  • Drivers who hold an SRC3 Professional Competency Certificate and for whom 5 years have passed since the date they received their certificate,

  • Drivers who have obtained an SRC3 certificate under the exemption scheme,

It has been stated that participation in the aforementioned 35-hour refresher training is important in order to avoid any problems during transportation operations that they will carry out with their UBAK permit.

Best regards,

March 2, 2026
