The Ministry of Industry and Technology carries out its activities with the mission of realizing the National Technology Initiative, which will increase our country's global competitiveness, ensure its economic and technological independence, and enable breakthroughs in critical technologies. The development of human capital, one of the most important components of the National Technology Initiative, holds a significant place among the activities of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, organized with the contributions of institutions and organizations that play a critical role in our country's national technology development processes, has become one of the largest platforms of the National Technology Initiative with its technology competitions, science and engineering activities, air shows, and entrepreneurship summit.

TEKNOFEST also has international recognition and interaction. Over 100 countries participate in the technology competitions held. The events are visited by many foreign mission representatives and delegations. TEKNOFEST also provides opportunities for establishing collaborations between our country and other countries in the defense, aviation, and space industries. In this way, it lays the groundwork for increasing our country's recognition, reputation, and the number of countries around the world that connect with Türkiye.

TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, will be held in Şanlıurfa in 2026, a city renowned for its thousands of years of history and rich civilization heritage. Taking place at GAP Airport between September 30th and October 4th, 2026, TEKNOFEST will continue to host Türkiye's largest prize-winning technology competitions, with annually renewed competition categories.

The deadline for applications to the TEKNOFEST 2026 technology competitions is February 20, 2026.
