Working Visit to Brussels from EU Information Centers

Representatives of the EU Information Centers Network, operating in 18 provinces across Türkiye, met with European Union institutions during a study visit to Brussels. Elif Yardımcı, EU External Relations, R&D, and Projects Officer and EUBM Coordinator, attended the event on behalf of our Chamber.


On the first day of the program, the delegation met with officials from the European Commission's Directorate General for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy. Participants were provided with detailed information about the 2025 Enlargement Package. Our representatives participated in a question-and-answer session where they shared their regional experiences.


The next stop of the visit was the European Parliament. The delegation met with Turkey Rapporteur Nacho Sánchez Amor to discuss the enlargement process, the role of civil society in democracies, and EU-Turkey cooperation.


Following contacts with EU institutions, the representatives met with TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Brussels office. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of the Turkish business community in the EU accession process and the contributions of civil society.


On the second day of the program, a meeting was held with Ambassador Faruk Kaymakçı, Türkiye's Permanent Representative to the EU. During the meeting, contacts in Brussels were discussed and information was shared about the activities of EU Information Centers and their local impact.
