The "Future is in the Kitchen" project, which we carried out with the support of the Thrace Development Agency within the scope of the Ministry of Industry and Technology's 2022 Social Development Support Program , concluded with a closing meeting and certificate ceremony held at the GastroAkademi Training Kitchen, which operates under the umbrella of our Chamber, with the participation of Edirne Deputy Governor Ercan Çiçek and his wife Fatma Çiçek, Edirne Deputy Mayor Cenk Ergüden, sector representatives from our province, and the first graduates of the GastroAkademi Training Kitchen.

The meeting, attended by representatives from the sectors where our graduates will be employed, focused on the impact of training programs addressing workforce needs in the sector and discussed strategies to integrate trainees into the labor market. The importance of training provided to trainees integrating them into the gastronomy sector, equipping them with the skills needed to meet industry expectations, and securing a sustainable place in the labor market was also emphasized.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors Sezai Irmak expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the project, stating that this was a significant step forward for the future of the gastronomy sector. He emphasized that the trainees not only gained professional skills but also became aspiring chefs who would further advance Edirne's culinary culture. He emphasized the importance of developing the skilled workforce the sector needs, stating that the Chamber will continue to support the continuation of such projects.
