Hosted by our Chamber and in cooperation with Edirne Provincial Directorate of Commerce, Edirne Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Edirne Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the “Cooperative Articles of Association Adaptation Procedures Information Meeting” was held.

The meeting, which started with the opening speech of our Chamber Secretary General Aydoğan Girgin and the presentation of our Chamber Trade Registry Deputy Manager Yeşim Öztoprak Tuna, continued with the information provided by Trade Provincial Directorate Branch Manager Mustafa Kurt, Edirne Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry representative Esra Ala and Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change representative Suat Düz.

Within the scope of the meeting attended by cooperative representatives, accountants and financial advisors, it was informed that, in accordance with the temporary article 9 of the Cooperatives Law No. 1163, cooperatives and their upper organizations are obliged to adapt their articles of association to the provisions of this law within three years at the latest, and that cooperatives and their upper organizations that do not adapt will be considered dissolved.

At the meeting, where a detailed presentation was made on how and under what conditions the said adaptation should be carried out, the definition of adaptation, the cooperatives that will adapt, the permit procedures, the points to be considered during the execution, the documents to be requested during the procedures and how the process works were explained in detail to the participants.

The meeting, which saw intense participation, ended with participants' questions being answered.
