
Muradiye Mevlevi Lodge, built by Murad II and considered the first Mevlana Lodge in Rumelia, is being revived and restored to its former glory.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Muradiye Mevlevi Lodge, one of the first Mevlevi Lodges established after Konya and Afyonkarahisar, was held at the Muradiye Mosque. Attendees included Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, Kırklareli Governor Uğur Turan, AK Party Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal, CHP Edirne Deputy Baran Yazgan, Edirne Mayor Filiz Gencan Akın, Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Sezai Irmak, Turkish Sufi Music and Folklore Research and Survival Foundation President State Artist Ahmet Özhan, International Mevlana Foundation President Faruk Hemdem Çelebi, and numerous other guests.
May the revival of this precious structure, which carries a centuries-old spiritual heritage, be beneficial for our province and our entire cultural world.
