The opening ceremony of the projects carried out in our province Edirne with the support of the Thrace Development Agency within the scope of the Social Development Support Program of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, including our Chamber's "Future is in the Kitchen with Gastro Academy" project, was held in our Chamber's Conference Hall with the attendance of the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

The opening ceremony was held with the intense participation of Edirne Governor Mr. Yunus Sezer, AK Party Deputy Fatma Aksal, AK Party Mayoral Candidate Belgin İba, Thrace Development Agency Secretary General Mahmut Şahin, our provincial institution and organization managers, partners of projects implemented with the support of Thrace Development Agency within the scope of SOGEP Program, members of our Chamber, and guests from our province and surrounding provinces.

In his speech, our Minister underlined that he was happy to inaugurate the “Gastro Academy Education Kitchen” operating under the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which aims to close the gap in the trained and qualified workforce in the sector, and the projects targeting unemployed youth and women, which were implemented within the scope of the Social Development Support Program, which will reduce the unemployment rate in our regions, and that we are taking firm steps towards making Edirne a pioneer city.

Within the scope of his program, our Minister also visited our “Gastro Academy Training Kitchen”, met with our Master Instructor and trainees and made his examinations regarding the trainings given. Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who wore a chef’s apron and went to the counter in the kitchen, accompanied our trainees in making Ramadan pita bread special for the month of Ramadan.
