As part of Tourism Week events, representatives of the tourism sector operating in Edirne came together at our Chamber's Meriç Conference Hall.
Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, Edirne Mayor Av. Filiz Gencan Akın, Chamber Chairman of the Board Sezai Irmak, Edirne Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Kemal Soytürk and tourism sector representatives attended the program organized by Edirne Governorship Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and hosted by our Chamber.
In the event organized with the aim of increasing tourism awareness in the society and supporting the interest in the tourism sector, the participants evaluated the road map to be followed for the development of tourism in our province.
Speaking at the program, our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sezai Irmak, stated that we aim to contribute to gastronomy tourism in our province and to continuously feed our sector by training qualified personnel in our Gastro Academy Training Kitchen project supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, which we have implemented with the aim of eliminating the lack of qualified personnel in the tourism sector and providing employment for unemployed young people and women in Edirne, which is among the "habit-forming cities" where visitors want to come again.
He underlined that the Tourism Sector Meeting was an important and productive platform where the problems of our members in the tourism sector were conveyed and mutual solution suggestions were produced, and expressed his gratitude to all participants and collaborators.
